I was born to a Tamil father from Kandy and a Sinhalese mother from Mount Lavinia, which means I grew up as the family peace treaty. Comedy was the only room where both sides laughed at the same time.

Sydney gave me the open mics, the late-night trains and the thick skin. Yeah Mad gave me a camera, a chair and a weekly roasting from people I love. Somewhere in between I learned to host rooms: corporate awards nights, festival galas, product launches, a wedding where the groom cried and it was not my fault.

Now I split my time between the stage, the studio and your event. If you need someone who can be clean at six and unhinged at ten, who reads the room before the run sheet, and who will absolutely mention the sold-out Sydney Comedy Festival run again, that’s me.
